Timberline Community Housing will be a 20-room assisted housing community located on Treaty 3 territory in Sprague, Manitoba, planned to open 2025. The facility caters to aging adults that can no longer (or choose not to) live independently but prefer an alternative to a personal care home.
Timberline Community Housing will be a 14,000 sq. ft. assisted living community containing large common areas and 20 private suites of 500 sq. ft. each. Nutritious meals, light housekeeping and laundry services are included in the affordable monthly rent. The suites will be satellite television and wi-fi ready. There will also be outside space to enjoy with a patio area with tables, seating and barbeque. A 25-car parking lot will be available for residents, staff, visitors and professional service providers.
Residents’ suites will include a living area with enough space for a twin or double bed and couch, three-piece bathroom with a walk-in shower, and a kitchenette with small sink, and space for mini-fridge and microwave. A large window will allow for ample natural light, and a clothes and linen closet will be available for storage. Rooms will be unfurnished so that residents can supply their own appliances, furniture and linens to suit their needs and style.
Timberline Community Housing will employ a full-time manager responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the facility. Timberline will be staffed 18 hours a day, seven days a week, employing up to three trained and experienced staff members.
Timberline Community Housing is planned to be strategically located near Sprague, Manitoba within walking distance of primary health care and existing independent living seniors’ housing and within reasonable driving distances to emergency services, retail and banking, and recreational amenities.
